I moved to Portland with my wife, Allyson, in 1997 for Oregon's outdoors activities and its progressive population. We bought our first home in Westmoreland in 2000 and moved to Laurelhurst in 2007. I am an avid whitewater kayaker and rafter. When I'm not on the water, I enjoy telemarking and mountain biking. Allyson has a Thoroughbred horse and teaches language arts in Catholic schools here in Portland.
